Konkana Sen-Sharma and her unique tastes

Konkana Sen-Sharma have unique tastes, whether it’s films or her home. She recently bought a new large apartment at Goregaon and has roped in Pavitra Rajaram, who has done the interiors of a chain of leading lifestyle store in Mumbai. Goregaon is centrally located for the film industry and she thinks she could get what she wanted at an affordable price there. Besides, he is in Andheri since last three years, so this is not a major shift In fact, Konkona has hardly lived in her hometown Kolkata. She was in Delhi for school. Then she is been in Mumbai. He is very comfortable in Mumbai since all her friends are also here. The actress is ecstatic with her new buy; top it with a national award and nothing makes her happier. Having own place in Mumbai is a huge high. So far she’s been staying in a rented place.
Pavitra and she shares a common taste as far as interiors are concerned, so she is doing up the house for her. She thinks she is superb! It’s taking long, but then homes always do. At this moment though, Konkona is raving over her National Award. This is her second award. She got her first National Award for her third film, Mr and Mrs Iyer. To add to the happiness, Konkana’s elder sister Kamalini is in India from the US. She has come down from the US after a long time and she is taking many family vacations with her. And because Kamalini is on a visit, she is getting a chance to be with both, her parents and sister! She almost likes a mother figure. At times Konkana is tempted to do films for the money, and she has a reason. She has done so because she is a working girl and she needs to pay her bills. But going by her gut feeling about a role always works. Sometimes producers come to her with what they think are strong powerful female-oriented roles. She wishes she could share their excitement. But she’d love to do a period film.
